People can lie or be truthful or editorialize in any medium. Videos get reviewed in the comments. Yes, they will largely speak to their echo-chamber, but there will usually be critical opposition when warranted, unless censored. Depending on the source and content you can often find good critical insights there.

Yes there's a lot of shit in videos AND in print. Videos allow me to listen and peek (at 2x speed+) while doing other things. Ultimately the critical details and/or ultimate contextual understanding can be conveyed over any medium and your excuse is just more lame bullshit.
