It's not obvious what award he won. His IMDB page says Paul Wittenberger is known for his work on Race to Witch Mountain (2009), Crank (2006) and The Green Hornet (2011).. His roles in those movies was rigging electrician, production assistant and lighting technician, respectively.

He did make a bullshit conspiracy movie about fluoridation of water called The Great Culling, noted by skeptics for having no obvious rational basis.

Jones, on the other hand, claims to be a "playing a character", when defending his conspiracy theories in court. Which include that the U.S. moon landings were faked and that the government faked the Sandy Hook Elementary School mass shooting using actors.

I guarantee you that I did, though I'll be the first to admit it had nothing to do with me - other than I had the talent and skills to be working a top animation studio that happened to get the job that had nothing to do with the novel or screenwriting adaptation that won that Oscar.

This is true, when it happens. I have been thinking about this, Actually. I post stuff I believe, stuff I question, and stuff I don't believe so that people can be aware that it's being said, so discussions can be had, and so that the truth or at least questions and details can come forth. I don't believe everything I read. But some sources are much better than others. MSM are more often wrong than lying. The scholarly literature is much more reliable, but you have to be careful that our understanding is under constant review at the cutting edge, and there are predatory journals that publish a lot of bullshit, that can look exactly like a respectable peer reviewed journal to the amateur.

Not for investigative reporting. The business model is pretty much cheap content, then monetize by native advertising (Such as fox news it doing). Or lose money hand over fist.
