Princes of the Yen (2014) is an excellent account of the power of central banks to make or break national economies. It looks at how the Japanese economy which put its citizens first was hijacked by international capital after the reserve bank deliberately fomented a crisis to enable a takeover to occur

I am posting here as it shows how a country run on nationalist principles can be highly successful even if it generates little of interest to the investor class which will then conspire to wreck an economy in order that they benefit.

As such it forms an important counter example to the incessant propaganda pumped out of Wall Street, the MSM, and the economics lessons taught in classrooms around the world.

Based on a book by Richard Werner the documentary is more relevant than ever given tne QE following the COVID epidemic and the consolidation of financial power that will inevitably result.

Official movie website:

Myth of the 20th Century recently did a podcast discussing the book. You can listen to it here.

Google search will turn up many more links to articles as well as interviews by Richard Werner.
