We are still rolling out features in preparation for launch but the ideal we strive for is a completely free discussion platform that empowers users with advanced tools like delegated moderation. We have about a year of development into this project and hope to launch end of January. beta.discussions.app Our vision is that all discussions take place and users choose what they want to see and respond to. Pointless trolls and spam are crowdsourced eliminated and you can tune the system to reflect your personal level of offense you are able to handle.

It is private and anonymous by design, doesn't require anything to create an account and is completely and transparently recorded on a public blockchain. It is of course totally free and open source as well. (/r/redditalternatives)

 

Just to clarify, the live version lives at discussions.app, due to major technical debt with maintaining this version we refactored the code and have stopped development on that version in favor of the beta. The beta will be switched to the discussions.app domain at the end of this month. Since our new code base is maintainable we don’t anticipate such a disruptive process going forward as we add new features and refine this project. (/r/redditalternatives)
