From the comments on the video, good advice to follow up with
Use a cheese grater to grate up the wax. It will melt faster and if you are nit picky easier to measure exactly. When applying I like the brush method better. Melt the wax and brush it on then use the hair dryer to even it out. To me the wax goes into the fibers deeper (lasts longer) and is easier to put on.

best to use a dedicated grater though, its hard to clean it up. though i didnt try to melt and wipe it off :-)
