I just reposted this in a better "DIY" sub and will delete the other one in the wrong sub.

I was hoping to find an "Education" or "School" type sub.

I had previously criticized the sub list for having empty or nonsensical subs. I was born in "VictoriaBC", visited many times, and even lived there again in 2008-2010 but there's nothing in that sub. A better broader sub might be "Canada"

Actually looking at the sub list critically again, not from a what's bad, but from a what's missing, maybe an administrator can add some of these (in no particular order):

  • Canada, USA, Mexico, UK, Australia, New Zealand, EuropeanUnion, SaudiArabia, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, China, Japan, India, Russia, Russiagate, Pedogate, Pedowood, Hollywood, WallStreet, WashingtonDC, CityOfLondonInc, Vatican, Mecca, NewYork, California, Illuminati (with a capital I), Internet (with a capital I), DarkNet, DeepWeb, DeepState, CIA, FBI, NSA, SecretAgencies, Authority, PoliceState, PrisonIndustrialComplex, MilitaryIndustrialComplex, Military, Banksters, FederalReserve, WhiteHouse, Education, Children, Family, Parenting, Brainwashing, CulturalEngineering / SocialEngineering, PsyOps, NDAA, Hoaxes, Zionism, NATO, HAARP, DARPA, InQTel, GeoEngineering (Chemtrails), AlternativeEnergy, Alternatives, Solutions, DIY, WorkerCoops, Unions, CommunitySolutions, GreenParty, PirateParty, InternetParty, InternetActivism, Wikipedia, InfoGalactic, SaidItTrutherNetworking (for lack of better words), SaidItPromotion, SaidItMerch (to discuss, develop and maybe make happen), SaidItFeatureRequests, TechAdvice, MentalHealth, MentalHealthAdvice, Wellness, WellBeing, Fulfillment, HolisticMedicine, DIYInternetAlternatives, etc.

If the admins don't add these (verify spelling) then I will over the next X weeks (X=number of things above). Plus I'll be adding my 3 projects: "Truther Top 20" a little project that will become known here in a day or few, "Trutherism 101" my big project I'm excited to bring here, and "Foiled Again" (working title because I need to keep the real title secret) this is my other big project which I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to present and open-source it. (Plus I may finish the Zoon Politikon animation, and lots of articles on Wikipedia, InfoGalactic, and I hope to build my own decentralized server to share my vast and unhealthy digital hoarding of content I've amassed.)

If the admin's wish, I could list the empty subs and recommend subs to remove and why some should remain in hopes they get filled, like those above. I won't even complain about capitalization. Oops I just did.

I think a few of them already exist. If you have the inclination but no content and you don't mind using your sub allowance this week you can add from the list above or reply with suggestions to add to the list.

I like that SaidIt has a wiki function but it's 1) woefully limited (really it's just an editable comment pinned in a tab), 2) not remotely as practical as other Wikimedia wikis, 3) not universally used, 4) nor organized, 5) and I want to introduce SaidIt users to the wonders of Wikipedia - but not Wikipedia - rather on the uncensored InfoGalactic. I don't expect this to happen overnight, but if we can get SaidIt folks using IG and SI folks using IG then win-win.

I don't know why I didn't start this a few weeks ago, but I will now - an InfoGalactic encyclopedia article on SaidIt. It will have a brief history, podcast appearance, and I'll also start some SaidIt lists, and anyone can contribute, though you may have to sign up for free. They were discussing removing the need for registered users implemented to prevent spam which used to be a thing. Maybe no more.

Wikipedia will have articles on many other wikis, forums, and websites, but I'd be shocked if they ever allow one for SaidIt. SaidIt would need to be featured in several corporate "mainstream" media sources to be considered "notable" and a worthy to get a page as a "fringe" element. Remove the "fringe" aspect and you'll still have obstacles to creating a new article, though less severe.

That said, at least for now, you might be able to squeeze a mention into the Reddit article, which is likely heavily guarded, and/or related Reddit articles, and/or Voat. If have something in mind, but don't wish to for whatever reason let me know and I'll try.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reddit

https://infogalactic.com/info/Reddit (updated today, a forked article (similar to WP but with differences) ready for your UNCENSORED additions)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Controversial_Reddit_communities (maybe worth scanning for recruits)

https://infogalactic.com/info/Controversial_Reddit_communities (updated today, a mirror-copy ready to fork with your UNCENSORED additions)

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?search=reddit&title=Special:Search&profile=advanced&fulltext=1

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voat

Meanwhile we can collect information and citations for a SaidIt article that we can build on IG that with the growth of SaidIt may eventually be worthy in a heavily redacted form for Wikipedia and their engineered mass audience.

I'll post it below when I've got a start on that SaidIt article on InfoGalactic. It will be a work in progress and will inevitably start out very ugly and disappointing, but persistence will pay off to be something to be proud of.

IT HAS BEGUN ! ! !

https://infogalactic.com/info/SaidIt

The overlapping of the resources.

I'd say great minds think alike but I have no idea about what the InfoGalactic overlords think because there is not communication ove there. It's like a ghost town with the occasional alt-right wikignome working away in some corner, not even looking up or acknowledging your existence. But IG is a kewl resource with a powerful fast deep wiki.

" PLEASE EDIT THIS PAGE! NOTE: From InfoGalactic (not Wikipedia, though maybe useful to scrape information from), this is a COPIED REDDIT ARTICLE to use as a template to build upon into a SAIDIT article and ALL CONTENT MUST BE CORRECTED, REPLACED, ADAPTED, &/or UPDATED. Please feel free edit this NEW SAIDIT ARTICLE! "

Typically this would start as a draft on Wikipedia before it went into mainspace. InfoGalactic is less formal and much less read so it don't matter none. Also I don't intend to let it stay wrong long and I put that glaring banner at the top that will stay there until it's all resolved.

I won't be doing much today and maybe over the next few days but this is top priority and I hope to have it finished by next week's weekly Jimmy Dore live stream, on right now.

Please feel free to help and contribute.

/u/magnora7 & /u/d3rr

For the SaidIt article, please fill in the following, feel free to list N/A or leave blank :

  • company_slogan =

  • location_city =

  • location_country =

  • unique_visitors (in a month and date) =

Are these correct? Feel free to modify, rephrase, or whatever :

  • programming_language = [[Python (programming language)|Python]]

  • website_type = [[Truther]], [[alternative history]], [[conspiracy]], [[corruption]], [[anti-establishment]], [[social news]], and [[social media|-media]] [[Social network aggregation|aggregation]]

Besides Tin Foil Hat are there any other appearances you've made?

Have there been any news articles about you, in MSM or the "fringe" independent/alternative media?

Do you have any business plans, introductory letters, project summaries, etc that can aid/speed up my process? And/or would you care to describe it in your own words, and/or point to where you've previously done so.

Also, FYI, full disclosure: I had two negative reactions. I'd pretty much finished an article on Pearse Redmond and his Porkins Policy Review, a very good podcast, despite this, and Tom Secker, who runs the SpyCulture.com and has a great Vimeo show, and (I bought his 2017 book despite him being a curmudgeon asshole to me) he co-wrote National Security Cinema with Matthew Alford, I had roughed in a skeletal frame outline and only started an article. Everything was out there using Google or direct from their shows. I was not trying to dox them or get too intimate but I was looking for more details, references, articles, etc. and I honestly thought they'd be flattered like most people. They did not like it. Secker was grumpy from go but wanted to sell books so indulged me until he realized I couldn't help with that. Pearse was nice until I got the InfoGalactic admin to scrub their articles then told me to "fuck off". I was kind enough to delete 2 weeks of work and that's what I get, as if I don't have copies that could go back up. Anyway, I didn't put them back up, not because they're nice guys but because I respect their work. So now I never write an article about someone before I ask. There are meager articles on Wikispooks about them. To my point, you can let me know or edit it yourself if there's ever anything you don't feel comfortable being out there. While the James Corbett and Lionel articles are way out of date, they are good examples of what I aim to produce. I hope to update all of them every few years or as often as a few times a year. Updates are often just additions, but sometimes require large reworking (ie. Corbett vs Edmonds).

Feel free to look at these articles for things you may or may not want in the SaidIt article. Being unfamiliar with Reddit, I will be scavenging these for possible content and/or citations and Reddit-related stuff:

Beyond Reddit there may be truther/conspirophile stuff you want me to know about and/or include. There is no hurry and things can be added at any time, so feel free to ping me with it. I may not react quickly if deep in something else.

Also, and I think this may be important, I don't know best how to "push" this Truther / alternative history / conspiracy / corruption / anti-establishment description angle. Even if not always used it'd be nice to have a go-to phrase (elevator pitch, nutshell outline, single sentence or paragraph), a slogan, and a shorter description than the last sentence. One thing springs to mind, in general and with great potential for merch, "Speak truth to power @ SaidIt.net". This brings me to another thing. Dot Net is critical and perhaps should be added to the logo, maybe tiny and tipped vertically like an exclamation point. SaidIt.com is something else entirely.

I've been on The Higherside Chats twice as well, just search "magnora7" on youtube.

Thanks for your efforts, the settings look fine. You can try out any way you think might work. This is sort of your own project, so feel free to try things out if you think it might draw people.

Saidit exists for information, not just "conspiracy" stuff. Out of all the words you listed I'd say you could say saidit has an "anti-corruption bent" or something like that. But really it's just an alternative information platform, it doesn't have to take any specific angle other than being information-dense.

Yeah we might add .net to the logo, I've had that thought as well. Probably would be a good idea, although if you google or bing saidit we're the first to come up.

Right!!! That's why the name sounded so freaking familiar.

Yes. I don't want to push too hard against or for the "truther" or "conspiracy" stuff. It's been successfully weaponized and means different things to different folks, for good and bad. "Anti-corruption" kinda covers it all and still actually remains neutral.

See I learned by typing "saidit.com" and it took me to an empty page. People may thing it's expired or old or whatever. Actually my Brave browser blocked that it's for sale.

So you're not interested in filling out those fields?

[–]magnora7 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

"Anti-corruption" kinda covers it all and still actually remains neutral.

Yeah exactly, you've described my feelings perfectly on this particular issue.

Not really interested in filling out the other fields. Our slogan is "say your truth" (which it says on the tab of the main page, by the way) but I'm not married to it so if you want to make new ones, go for it.

[–]JasonCarswell[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Would you prefer I not? I can skip it.

Also, if you don't mind, when I email Holly I'd like to CC you if that's okay. You can give me your email or ping my Gmail.com with MJasonCarswell in front. I promise to never email you with long spiels or anything. Ever. I can simply use SaidIt and the personal messenger if I need/want to. I guess Holly can too but I thought it'd be good if we're all on the same page because we've all got the same page/email.

[–]magnora7 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Nah I don't really use email. Just let me know how it goes.

Ok
