lmao, how have I never heard of this?? Idk if you were, but I was a regular on the original CA on Reddit (It was the only subreddit I visited outside of IP2, as I didn't like Reddit's community much tbh). I've never seen this posted there in the 2-3 years I've lurked Reddit (which is kinda surprising as the shoe fits). Lmao, thank you, we are certainly the lucky ones in the most "interesting" time-line.

Also, if you're talking about the video of the dog, she was teaching her puppies a lesson. It's called "Bite inhibition", almost like a form of our scaffolding or just negative reinforcement for negative behaviors among litter-mates and the puppy/parent. Towards the end of the video, once the mother sees all the puppies have calmed down and are laying or sitting calmly instead of jumping all over her and biting at her, she starts to gently clean them one by one. But only once they've all calmed down.

Then at 1:43, one of the puppies sneakily crawls up behind the mother while she's grooming one of the puppies and bites her tail (it's easy to miss if you aren't watching that puppy), and she turns around growling and barking at them again. This process happens with all dogs who have puppies and is instinct/part of their developmental process.

"Puppies must learn the Bite Inhibition technique while young. Other dogs are the best teachers and puppies learn by interacting with Mom and siblings. The other pups yelp and bite back if the youngster chomps down too hard, and Mom stops the games if they're too rough, so the puppy learns limits."

I was never part of Reddit. I've lived all over North America, including SF. The sisters are actually wonderful kind humans and typically smarter than most of us. Glamourous bitches all.

Teaching manners is, but is hardly, "actions have consequences". It was amusing, but nearly missed the point, like my bitch jokes.
