I'm disturbed by the section on PG&E in that they seem to be pushing for privatization as the solution, and neglecting to mention that it might have been something more darkly implemented than an aging infrastructure and poor equipment. You don't even need to go straight to DEW and all that--the argument for so-called smart-meters being the culprit is pretty strong.
