Seems too simple to me too, but I'm no lemonade surgeon.

And Thursday someone stole my huge yellow courier bag. I'm not sure if that's life giving me lemons or take them away.

Ya but no.

Mine was like this but yellow and bigger, and not quite as nice though close, and 16 years old but surprisingly not remotely worn out, just scuffed up. A little more like this but bigger - or it might have been an older version of this as I'm almost certain it was this Timbuk2 brand. This is almost it but with more yellow.

Well, RIP to your old courier bag. Perhaps you'll spot the thief and recover it, or maybe make a new start with a new bag. I know your feels though. Objects you've had with you a long time become a sort of talisman that evokes nostalgia for shared times in the past. "That scuff happened in Black Rock City one time when we..."
