According their survey, 75% of Americans lean Democrat and 25% lean Republican. I think the poll is skewed.

it's saying 75% of people that support vaccine mandates are dem, which makes sense that it'd be most

Damn, did I miss-read that or what? Thanks for correcting me.

yeah I think it's like 50-50% in terms of whether people lean dem or repub. Which is by design, the elites don't want either side getting a super majority and then there being pressure for changes. So if for example democrats get too popular, they have them support weird transgender shit in order to get them less popular. If repubs get too popular they have them artificially crash the economy. Or start a pandemic.

Many of the local politicians I have known don't care which party they affiliate with, as long as they have the best chance to get elected.

yeah local politicians are a bit different tho I think the national parties "encourage" them in vcertain ways. In big cities it is mostly democrats, in rural towns and suburbs it is mostly repubs. Why might those types be most likely to get elected in there respective local areas? That ends up being a 50-50% split of the population, not exactly but close enough to be able to effectively control us on the local level. If you lived in a small town and voted for a repub mayor, he might promise to reduce taxes all the way down to zero, but he wouldn't be able to get away with it because national republicans would remove support from him.
