Yeah. Ok. I don't follow you here. From what i read i conclude the virus spreads even through the vaccinated population and more and more people are realizing this fuelling well-founded scepticism that no money can relieve. That is why even though the vaccines are now widely available in most western countries the numbers of vaccinated people seems to converge to an upper bound. So less and less people are vaccinated voluntarily because most people that wanted a dose or two already got them. Of course this holds only true as long as there aren't (any harder) sanctions. And there are protests: In Germany and in France to name a few. Clearly this is a seasonal thing because relatively speaking the infection numbers are down and it is summer so of course more people are inclined to go out and actually protest.

And on war: I wouldn't define this as a war at this point in time with a very simple argument: When people are confronted with a new situation they got three alternatives:

  • evade the situation (so far this is possible for the infection and the vaccination in most western countries, afaik and assuming these are the kind of persons who actually go through with their plans)

  • change the situation: Protests; not be vaccinated even though they pull off their 24/7 advertisment shitshow for the vaccine and so on ; change of job or social environment, which i suppose is actually happening right now more often than perceived (because this is rather seldom polled or reported, afaik). This can be more or less forced (e.g. if you work in health-care and won't get the vaccine for any reason) i admit. But i also believe the crowd seeing this "pandemic" as a chance for personal or professional "reorientation" or "change" doesn't consists only of me. Imo change is a part of life, for the worse or for the better.

  • accept the situation in different degrees. This means going with what comes, not compliance. Of course you gotta be more and more careful what to say to whom but in most of USA (and ex-GDR :-D ) you are nurtured with this skill anyway from the cradle on.

I think i can predict with relative certainty that the "elite" at this point in time isn't anywhere near to realize how these changes the "working" class undergoes right now will bite them in their hind parts in the future.

When you grew up in a dictatorship, like i did in GDR, it is quite easy to realize that the same shitshow GDR media yelled (mostly) into the void - about people not fleeing GDR e.g - now returned (given: on some crack (with algorithms, micro-targeting and corporate surveillance)), it is quite easy to adopt to this new environment.

But even if you did not grow up in a dictatorship i believe every-time you watch something, you don't accept (for any reason) most people now are at a point where they just switch the channel or swype somewhere else.

To not overcomplicate this argument, in a nutshell : "You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot force it to drink."

And this analogy goes especially well regarding the aspect that the horse simply has more mass than the human leading it. The people seeing through these manipulation tactics of corporate kleptocracy "elite" are still bigger in numbers. At least so far, i suppose. Otherwise mass-media and the political elite wouldn't (already) switch calibre from small (24/7 corona-shitshow on most channels) to bigger (vaccinations checks, e.g.).

There are only two things in this ongoing shitshow that make me somewhat sad:

  • The ongoing, constant scaremongering clearly furthers divides our societies even more than they already are. I believe the circle of people you actually trust with something is getting smaller for most of us right now.

  • Since now more and more sanctions are threatened or imposed on people who don't comply with this or that in arguments or in everyday behaviour the "free" internet is finally in its last minutes and psychological and social problems are on the rise. These both affect all of us way more severly than the shitshow playing on the screens.
