    Look at the survivors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They were all standing behind walls and literally under desks. There is a certain radius outside a nuclear explosion where concrete will shield you then there is also another radius where wood will shield you.

    The mask does not make one immune, it merely decreases the chance of transmission. Maybe it decreases the chance by 50% or maybe 5%, but it does help.
