So what's been happening is private nursing homes have been telling government they are fully equipped and able to take covid 19 patients and to send as many their way as possible.

They are doing this for the money, plain and simple, not because they are good places to send patients.

Then when these patients go into these homes it turns out the owners have been lying, the PPE isn't good, the staff are untrained, etc and the virus spreads to all the elderly residents and kills a lot of them.
