I'm a little confused. Are you saying that SaidIt is one-sided in that everyone thinks it's a scam? Or are you referring to the MSM as being one-sided?

Wearing the mask is the ritual of compliance/obedience - even if you have doubts or don't agree with it.

My friend is unsure, and kinda wants it both ways - to reject yet be safe.

I don't give a shit who wears a mask. Don't make me wear one for your safety - or to be able to buy groceries. Or worse/more. That's an infringement on my liberty for some "potential" imaginary threat. This is a giant test to see who believes in "authority".

Yes, there have been studies saying that masks are harmful and I've shared much on that as well as to the contrary. IMO it's moot - except for the mandatory compliance. COVID is also moot.

" I think these lockdowns could be an opportunity to encourage people to get off government reliance. "

Ironically it's the government who locked everything down, destroyed the economy and employment, and is still refusing to help the masses. People will need to become self-reliant or die. Meanwhile the government is demanding more power, more control, more obedience, and offering nothing nor any solutions. The haves will be fine and the have-nots will suffer tremendously.

Government is trying to force off-grid people into their matrix.

If you aren't a Corbett Report member you might dig this private video linked to that Food Supply Chain article: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IttV8RCkf34

I was being sarcastically immodest about my "tremendous wisdom", though I still stand by all of it.

You should see this one: /s/Illusions/comments/5sfk/investigation_c0vld_positive_results_for_people/

You're assuming COVID is really something to fear and/or natural. There is no shortage of speculation about the labs, so it's still hard to say. I'm expecting that after crying wolf too much, for the second, third, or fourth wave they will up the ante and make more people sick intentionally with a bioweapon with similar symptoms to justify a greater power grab - but that's just my speculative theory.

Yes, completely doubt them, CompleteDoubterII.

I'm saying the coronavirus sub is one-sided in that the vast majority of posts promote the idea that it's a scam, not all of Saidit. But the former fits better than the latter. The M.S.M. on corona is odd, as they very misleadingly present death statistics, but at the same time, as Kit Knightly noted, deaths being a substantial overestimate is a direct quote from Spectator (5 minutes in, if you forgot). The M.S.M. is very weird.

Your friend is unsure of the threat. So am I. I would recommend your friend to not wear a mask and socially distance. There are claims masks are harmful and they are not so absurd as to be rejected immediately (I would think; I recently didn't read much about masks apart from how they're now a political death match, which is ridiculous). Follow the social distancing protocols strictly, risking potentially severe lung damage isn't worth it. (I say potentially because I never looked into how severe the lung damage that corona supposedly causes is.) Although perhaps I'm biased because I never really go out with people, and because the vast majority of times I'm outside nobody else is (in other words, the recommended measures don't affect me at all, except that I may have to walk off a path for ten seconds). I would recommend your friend do the same; go out when nobody else/very few people are around. The measures don't affect you that way. As far as I know, no claim has been raised that getting corona-chan from a surface is a serious worry, so that's why I believe a mask isn't needed if you're alone (and Doctor Mike said it in this video I believe, and he believes the official story).

Perhaps I should make it clear, or in S.J.W. terms, acknowledge my privilege, in that the lockdowns closed stuff I never do nor wanted to do and cancelled a lot of my obligations and as such have given me far more freedom than it's taken away. I personally benefit from these lockdowns.

I will address the rest of your post later.

The fact that the MSM is unified that it's real is a clear sign that there's something fishy. They can't agree on anything, even climate change - but on the Holocaust, 9/11, and COVID for some reason they're united. I'm not surprised it's one sided on SaidIt because folks here are seeking truth, not talking points. It seems pretty certain that something is affecting people and even killing some with comorbidities. But that's about it.

More disturbing is everything surrounding it. The artificial collapse, the food supply network damage, employment collapse, etc. All passed over for more sensational extremist politics and riots. All of this is intentional and I expect it won't stop and this chaos will cover for the actual much worse atrocities to come. Possibly even depopulation, vaccines, eugenics, mass starvation, and such if they can get away with it.

My life has not been affected at all by the lockdowns. I was already a hermit for the last dozen years - 5 down on poison "anti"-depressants and 7 years of recovery. Ironically when I'm finally feeling better and social everyone's locked down. I haven't gained or lost any freedom, other than the 2 times I was handed a mask at the grocery store (I took them but did not wear them).

BTW, interested in co-modding any of these?:

You think the fact that it's one sided on Saidit shows people are seeking truth? I am relatively certain truth is found by looking at both sides of the argument. They should evaluate the M.S.M.'s (and alternative media's) arguments, not just believe their talking points. What I would consider truth-seeking is evaluations like mine (but of course I would believe I am rational).

This collapse was probably going to happen anyway (can't say I've been paying attention all these years). Honestly, how it's happening probably isn't important. What happens next is up to people. In other words, I see this as an opportunity (just like the lockdowns), sort of. Again, a collapse can and should encourage people to get off government reliance. This could happen enough to make the current U.S. government irrelevant, making them unable to put into action its harmful agenda. Of course, as StormCloudsGathering pointed out, this would require having the majority of the police on the people's side. The fact that the police are now a political issue makes this incredibly difficult to unite people on. This is a mess; I have no solutions.

I may be interested in co-modding Decentralize All Things. Its message resonates with me.
