The mask charade is a PsyOp to frighten people.

Masks can prevent bacterial transmission, but viruses are many orders of magnitude smaller in size.

It's part of the scamdemic hoax.

It's security theatre. Wearing a medical mask properly if you are infected might reduce the number of people you pass the virus on to, but to force perfectly healthy people to wear highly ineffective cloth masks is a joke.

The problem there is that symptoms don't show up for up to two weeks, which means that not wearing a mask could infect hundreds of people before you know you're sick. Forcing "perfectly healthy people" to wear "highly ineffective cloth masks" is a completely reasonable step.
