There is one claim here that I doubt. That is that the 'Chinese are swooping in to make deals with the Taliban'. The New World Next Week link he gives has him saying, with regards to China and Afghanistan, that they're going to be there to make their deals, they will easily beat N.A.T.O.'s spending, their pledges and the demand to get rid of ETIM. The Xinhua article is mainly just about those pledges with that demand mentioned. The U.S. News article cites anonymous sources for recognising the Taliban as Afghanistan's legitimate ruler if Kabul falls. I don't find it very convincing. The article also links to a War on the Rocks article with verifiable sources and concludes that it will most likely stay neutral, meaning work with both the Afghanistan government and the Taliban in the future, or have a rather restrained relationship with the Taliban. Likewise, this is further supported by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs declining to comment in the U.S. News article, for if they were swooping in to make deals with the Taliban it would benefit relations to confirm their recognition of them as Afghanistan's legitimate ruler; likewise denying it would anger the Taliban but improve relations with Afghanistan's current government; but they do neither, showing in my view a willingness to stay neutral.

James Corbett is the creator of The Corbett Report, which he describes as "open source intelligence news." Started in 2007, The Corbett Report's website describes itself as an outlet for independent critical analysis of politics, society, history, and economics. In 2018, Chris Hayes called Corbett's video "Century of Enslavement: The History of The Federal Reserve" a piece of "conspiratorial quackery" while Mother Jones categorized Corbett in an article about political extremists. Corbett regularly defends his work by pointing to the resources from which he sources information and offers his audience the chance to do the research for themselves.

Hit job on James Corbett. What were they thinking? by JasonCarswell in CorbettCommenters

[–]JasonCarswell[S] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I didn't think I'd get any bites. No one voted for this post either. At least some folks on TCR were intrigued.

So...

On Ryan Dawson

No, I'm not "big enough", if ever I will be. Nonetheless it happened, briefly.

Ryan Dawson is uncouth. Recently he was "Karen-ed"1 for losing his shit on a troll caller while filling in on Mike Rivero's What Really Happened radio show.2

I commented, "Or... you could get more professional, earn respect, and gain more viewers for your message more important than your casual/sloppy attitude. Stop being a frat boy playing with code words and memes with your cult of supporters. Clean up and branch out. Keep your bangs trimmed, keep your dick off cam (yes, he accidentally was caught beating it on a show), keep calm, carry on, have patience for those who don't know, and stay on point."3

I doubt he would remember my other comments, supportive and/or critical (he only responds to the critical ones, defensively), or our chats on Discord before I was banned or something technical last year (I didn't care to go back and follow up) and he was finally censored there. I was trying to get him to interview magnora7 and he seemed legit interested in doing it, but kept losing the contact info, despite there being a whole fucking SaidIt website.

His sloppiness and attitude are his greatest weaknesses. If he could hire a professional team to make nicer videos they'd have a great product. Instead of always being live begging for shekels and goofing around he could be focused (a problem I have too). His intolerance for other viewpoints and other researchers is more than toxic. He thinks many other researchers who come to the same conclusions steal from him. He never takes criticism well. Yet, he's good enough to follow. Though I don't follow closely, much less all the time (like Corbett, Dore, reallygraceful, etc). It was actually a fluke I even caught the particular video in question, as typically I don't bother with his short videos and play the long ones while multitasking, doing chores, etc. to let the casual info trickle in.

First you should know that he's referencing my unnoticed posts:

04:47 your brain all right he's going nuts
04:49 gotta go peace and love

Ryan Dawson is the ONLY person always fucking using the rainbow frog, selling Spinning Squirrel T-shirts, been talking about it for months, releasing unfinished work cuts, and now finally promoting this Spinning Squirrel documentary on Brand New Tube (with two more parts forthcoming). His childish code-words may work to avoid censorship or they may just be stupid esoteric shit for his cult following. Nonetheless if an "idiot" neckbeard like me can see through his shit, I'm quite certain the actual Feds, CIA, NSA, Mossad, etc etc etc know how to also use YouTube-DLG and piece together the fucking obvious clues. They don't need me to censor the Spinning Squirrel documentary and/or Ryan's YouTube channel. They'll strike him down when they feel like it, with or without reason - though especially if the video were to go viral like the Plandemic documentary or any of the other COVID-1984 counter-narratives that briefly gain traction. When it gets censored it also attracts more attention and people seek out alternative ways to see it.

Not only is he an idiot for thinking he's too clever with his lame camouflage, he didn't even get my name right.

I admit I am an idiot in many things. I hardly think I'm an idiot in this case. You tell me.

For respect of the material I seriously thought about withdrawing and rewriting those posts (with no votes to lose, not that I care about votes - I care about eyes), but the material stands on it's own so really I'd only be redoing it for the idiot asshole who called me an idiot for crediting the fucking obvious creator. I can't be bothered. Also, if it's any relief to you or him, I won't be attaching his name to the 2 parts that follow. Now he can go eat a bag of dicks. (Sorry if I sound angry, as he often does. I'm hoping this will finally be purged from my system.)

I'm only around halfway through the article (I generally don't post links until I fully read them), but I am puzzled by one claim. The arrival as the 'Port of Jiangsu' doesn't make much sense to me. Jiangsu is a province with several ports, and the name Jiangsu doesn't appear in a list of Chinese ports.

Also, back in the summer or fall of 2016, after a particular Corbett episode and in the midst of a lot of election censorship, I wanted to join ZeroNet. I signed up on NameCoin and asked for help. A guy gave me enough to set up a site, but I have yet to do it. I still have the NameCoin and I mean to either do it eventually or gift it forward to someone who can. I'd like to email him about it when it happens. I'd love to see SaidIt on ZeroNet somehow.

I knew my Brave browser could do it, and WebTorrenting - but I just haven't. I also know that IPFS is amazeballs - but I haven't got a nice server to set up. I have dozens of hard drives and no home or connection for them. I am a digiatal horder - on a budget. It's all I can do to buy a new hard drive every couple or few months to collect all the interesting stuff I can before it's all censored. ZeroNet is also awesome, though, again I have yet to use it. It's one of my earlier posts in /s/DecentralizeAllThings/, and before I got addicted to SaidIt a year and a half ago I used to edit all sorts of stuff on Wikipedia, etc. The solutions were always heavily censored.

Compare my uncensored out of date articles on InfoGalactic to the Wikipedia ones, oddly they didn't censor WebTorrent (though I haven't checked for a while).

https://infogalactic.com/info/WebTorrent

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZeroNet

They wouldn't even let me mention Protocol Labs or their other projects. One of the best ways to do research is to dig through the history to find what's been removed, vet it, and add the good stuff.

Have you heard of Holochain? (Terrible choice for their name.) /s/DecentralizeAllThings/comments/827/decentralized_web_internet_alternative_holochain/ Makes me wonder if it was vaporware.

TOR might help - or it might be a trap. It's the Navy's baby. I'd like to see something like TOR crossed with torrenting so there's so much chaos no one could assemble and decipher it.

'Is possible'? Did you believe you couldn't connect to it or something? All it requires is clicking a link. The more alternative protocols are promoted, the more people know about them, and the more people will move to them. But in any case, I don't have IPFS myself, I have Zeronet, although I rarely use it. I have Tor as well, since although it has its issues, police investigations have found it is impossible to track people with it (see page 2).

Guess Who's Growing Your Meat? - #NewWorldNextWeek (18:57) ~ Corbett Report by JasonCarswell in CorbettCommenters

[–]JasonCarswell[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

For years I've been thinking of the ultimate solutions to battle the ultimate evils. Perhaps ironically, many of these are almost identical. Long before it was on Black Mirror and now commonly well known in pop culture and news, I was thinking about how people would need to be educated and/or "reprogrammed" to effectively challenge the abusive authority systems.

I didn't have a term for it then, but I'd imagined my own utopian Universal Basic Income and Social Credit Scoring Systems, though I was thinking about it as many alternative crypto-credit scores of diverse values - rather than just a singular dollar based system that is ever so limited and values absolutely nothing else (one of the ruling class' Achilles' heels). Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, interests and talents, and everyone should be treated fairly, from the autistically limited to self-reliant jack-of-all-trades autodidacts, from entrepreneur tycoons to home-makers - we all have roles and value and should never have needs go unmet (wants are not needs).

Part of being a good citizen is being aware, informed (school should never end), active, and vigilant, earning your place in society and this system, managed by a global hive-mind A.I. named vHOPE in my Bittersweet Seeds story. This A.I. would monitor your content consumption, your attitudes and views, and instead of trying to change them would try to expand them and support them to serve 3 goals in equal measure: 1) individual-improvement (meaningful work, health, education, interests, counselling, well-being, fulfillment), 2) social-improvement (family, friends, community, world, environment, networks, management, security, etc), and 3) A.I.-improvement.

This A.I. would be your counselor, friend, boss, servant, etc. with only 3 agendas: you, everyone, and itself, making for a much smaller and cooperative "governance". Who decides what's "good" or not? The A.I. That's a lot of blind faith right there, but it's better than the lesser of evils - and importantly the trust is earned, not taken under threats of penalties. In that future, 25-30 years from now, there's almost no privacy so everyone is surveilled anyway as records are kept whether you want it or not, by both good and bad A.I.s. So who watches the watchers? vHOPE would be all open-source and fully transparent aside from personal data. And how does it uncorrupt society? It recruits by guaranteeing your life will be improved, and follows through on this promise (unlike governments), and is tailor made for everyone to support their interest and ambitions practically and efficiently without excessive overhead, management, or red tape.

I tried poke holes in every utopian idea with dystopian ideas, then patch up the utopia around those holes then attack again, over and over in a cycle. In this way, it's more organically realistic, than simpler abstract form ideas, and have the potential of being realized. I'm sad to say in reality my fictional scenario has a slim chance of every happening as we won't likely overcome ruling class tyranny, like the rest of history. However, there is a slim chance for hope, and with vHOPE, perhaps it might inspire some real solutions, and some I couldn't possibly imagine.

Anyway, while I may have been ahead of the curve in my pipe dreams, I'm certainly not the first to write about stuff like this. Neal Stephenson's epic "The Diamond Age" (I can't recommend it enough), is about an impoverished girl who's accidentally gifted an A.I. book meant for a ruling class girl, and the A.I. book has situational awareness for an interactive education raising her to be an effective revolutionary.

I don't expect many will read all this, but it helps me to condense and clarify big ideas while getting a little practice writing in. While I've already written all this stuff down several times over, these note blurbs on SaidIt are also handy for me.

Regarding Corbett's ask for culture jamming ideas to counter the propaganda...

I already composed an email for friends: /s/Coronavirus/comments/3o86/my_cautionary_email_to_my_normie_friends/

And I've sent some follow ups, only with a few select simple links.

I've also started to select the best few things appropriate for normies from each day to share with them, but not overwhelm them. I've considered reaching out to the SaidIt community, again to resurrect this idea now with this COVID thing, to foster an aggregator's team to compile a daily, weekly, and/or monthy newsletter compilations of the best of the best 1) for normies 2) to be brief but informed 3) with skepticism of the MSM 4) saving them time.

So far today this week, not much stands out to me, but I will add things here during this day to include in today's email:

I just tried to join the Media Monarchy Discord group to find my entire account was deleted a few weeks ago. I rarely look at it so it's no big deal, other than there's no way I'd be threatening anyone. I was on a few weeks ago to join a Shoe0nHead group which turned out to be just an unofficial fan group. At absolute worst I might have been lusty, but there's no way in hell this could apply to me:

" Your account was found to have sent threats to others, participated in targeted harassment, or incited violence against individuals or communities. "

Maybe they targeted some or all the groups I had joined out of curiosity (with not much participation)? Ryan Dawson, TLAV, Tulsi, McAfee, SaidIt, Shoe0nHead, and some other similar forgotten ones.

Or maybe I said something reactionary or sarcastic and actually deserved it but I really just don't remember. There's a first time for everything. I hope they get back to me with their evidence and/or restore it. No great loss to me. Just a word of caution to all out there.

The worst thing about this whole thing, for me personally, is that this is the totalitarian state coming down hard already. The Bittersweet Seeds story I'm writing that takes place in 25-30 years, a world that is certainly worse than our world was last year (this year is now unknowable), but I was too narrow sighted to properly anticipate what the next "big event(s)" could be, or when, or that it could even happen (maybe several ratchet times) between now and then. (As I wrote, I do have a "big event" for the background of my story set 2-3 decades from now.)

Now that totalitarianism has arrived, I may have to reconceive much of it. In my story it was bad and ever present, but now I may have to amp it up to absurd levels for a cautionary story to be effective and not just routine life. Further still, much else that I've "predicted" in my imagination has already come true over the last decade - yet beyond 2045-2050, with the dawn of the singularity, after that... all bets are off and my imagination is far to human and limited to see beyond that ENORMOUS event - the great change over of epochs.

Side note: I did wonder what ever happened to all the lone wolf event scenarios. Seemed like they were saving up for this big one.

It was part of his mission to correct Wikipedia and counter SJW shit.

He is founder but I've never seen him on it once, and even his article is outdated. I have no idea how connected or devoted he is to the site. The site is waaaay too much of a mystery to me, but it's a great tool and alternative to WP.

Vox Day has a DarkStream vlog on YouTube that is tedious and self-absorbed. I don't have time for him, his impatience, his intolerance, nor his crowd though on occasion he has a gem or few. I've never read any of his Christian sci-fi.

A+

Gives me hope-ish. Unlike a lot of SaidIt comments. I can't even be bothered to check Reddit or Voat, not that I'm afraid - I'm just not interested. QxR was a very good forum but very limited primarily to pirating movies and tv, as was the Silk Road - but limited to liberty and such and such and such. Before SaidIt and YouTube I'd not run into trolls.

As an animator we didn't have time to do forums, nor even participate much on animation forums. Burning Man is another thing, but that's more individual to your region, circles of friends, interests, groups, etc. so it was far from centralized.

Hah, we cross-posted and so I hadn't seen your longer commentary above.

Thank you for your kind words :)

What is new, or fresh, is new sometimes only in the framework of when it strikes minds that have heretofore been blinded and intoxicated by indoctrination. The actual truth of Reality has been being transmitting itself all along, but only a very few have been listening. The more we "normalize" the knowledge of our inherent power and basic goodness, the less "new" (and that often translates to "scary, for some") and the more natural it will become.

I guess I read too much and latched onto the "newness" of this, our good old goal, to shuffle off our shackles, to put it crudely. To even attempt to say it any better I'd have to take up far more space and still fail at surpassing how brilliantly you summarily stated it.

I meant an important shift for the collective conditioned human mind.

I think it's key for the collective mind to shift PoV from disempowered subjects to the empowered collaborative Being that it already is. We have been hornswoggled into believing that we must please some sort of perceived overlord, and the more we have appeased it, the more it has lorded-over. The more we then fight it, the more it gains legitimacy and saps our energy, etc.

To see ourselves as, say, the collective amniotic fluid from which unlimited creativity can and does grow, is a far cry from the sorry state the human mind has been conditioned to think in. (subjects and objects in a world, rather than one limitless field of energetic activity.)

I'm cutting lots of corners here but that's sort of what I meant. A deep bow to you for seeing through the many-layered veil of delusion, and glimpsing the true power that is our inborn nature.

Please expand on why you think it's a shift. I really don't get how it's new. The only thing I can think of is that, maybe I might have beaten Corbett to this conclusion and assumed he was already there? I doubt I could beat or challenge Corbett in much of anything, especially as I'm not interested in competitions.

Months and months ago, (like 6 to 15, I don't recall when) I shared some (similar) images of trees growing from dead rotting stumps and rotted out trees leaving a vine lattice standing like a ghost of a tree - as analogous to a new nimble alternative system replacing the old, organically rather than competitively or violently.

Eventually, after I finish my epic /s/BittersweetSeeds story, it should be clear, ideally, that the theme and message of Corbett's video will be core to my project - about the struggle of growing a new system from within the old.

I really liked his video but I don't really see why he's presenting it as some kind of new epiphany or fresh perspective. This is not new to my story either.

Early on, before I had many of the core elements nailed down I was still throwing around a lot of ideas. One of those ideas was to be "progressive" with a female protagonist. I didn't care about virtue signaling. Before 2013, I wanted a female to be a contrarian, different than the majority with more unique creative options. I figured there'd be lots of new ground to explore, and as a woman there are plenty of "underdog" issues to riff off. But I simply couldn't make it work. Back then I was trying to develop the ultimate villain who might represent the corporatocracy. If it's a evil woman, there are "bitch" stereotypes to avoid, not to mention the majority of ruling class fields are dominated by men. While being creative and original I was also trying to reflect many realities of our corrupted world - so I felt woman executive was pushing beyond just "unique" like putting a hat on a hat. On the other hand, if the antagonist is a man, then it's a dude bullying a girl - and while that might help in some ways there's also the male patriarchy crap to deal with.

So, for a long time I was developing my protagonist to be part of a family without favouring toward the mother or father but gradually the father dominated and many other elements cemented into place before I ultimately realized there need not be a singular antagonist, like some typical action thriller. This epiphany that the entire system was the adversary (ie. as in Wall-E) was a breakthrough and relief, but it also raised more non-traditional narrative problems to overcome. I hope to delve into that elsewhere at another time. Meanwhile, I'll copypasta this comment into my Bittersweet Seeds project, where in addition to my story I'll be sharing my motives, developments, hurdles, and processes of writing it over the last 19 years.

I still have so much more work to do scraping it out of my head and into a cohesive and tight narrative, with character arcs, social commentary, cautionary concepts, futurist imaginings, science, architecture, aesthetics, a cinematic composition for each shot, with a sense of editing and pacing - all with a holistic director's vision. I was building it on this SaidIt wiki, but it has limits through no fault of it's own. So since New Years I'll be building and developing the content on InfoGalactic with a more powerful wiki tool set with media all in one place. But don't fret, I will occasionally update and mirror all my content there on WikiSpooks and here on SaidIt as things develop and I hope you might share your honest feedback when I do, no matter how long it takes me.

I don't recommend looking at it for a while, if you even care, as I've only barely started. Come back in two or three months to https://infogalactic.com/info/Bittersweet_Seeds

This thread is about the quote 'Well, that's the problem, isn't it?' that the Why Big Oil documentary claims was said by John Rockefeller III. That's the quote I'm talking about. The book this thread is about is 'The Rockefellers, An American Dynasty'. That's the book I'm talking about.

The book is already available on archive.org, but you have to have an account to borrow it, and to download it you must also download some other software. You don't have to post it on archive.org. It's already there.

It has to be for free because most people would be unwilling to pay to verify a quote. If this documentary is for waking people up, people shouldn't have to pay or go through a very long process to fact-check one quote. If a normal unaware person were to go through this documentary, only to end up in that situation, they would most likely be unwilling to go through so many obstacles or pay, and give up on it. So by having the current situation, I believe it restricts the documentary's power to reach people and wake them up.

I don't know what else you're meaning for me to do. I don't know what quote, what book, and why it has to be for free.

I said I can post it on Archive.org if you share the book with me that you don't want to post yourself for some reason.

With regards to where it should be re-posted, perhaps you have an idea? If you verified this quote yourself, you should have been able to find the book online for free. I doubt you were willing to pay or make an archive.org account to do so. Perhaps you can post where you put this?

You're guessing you have an archive.org account? An archive.org account requires a username and a password. If you can fill those in and login successfully, you have an account. If you cannot, you don't have an account. I don't really see how you can 'guess' whether or not you have an account.

I think it's click-bait for them trying to make a low hanging nothing burger.

I think they have some legit good content. But I'm afraid they fucked the pooch on this one. Their comment section is shitting on them tremendously.

It was because of some of their good content that I tried to follow them for a bit. Unfortunately they seem trapped in a regimented format to make a regular show that needs to be filled with content. Sometimes they'll have a hit and sometimes a miss. The problem is that you have to actually pay attention for a while to know how legit they are or aren't (on many levels) and how much they hit and miss.

I was already getting alienated before this. The egos of some media bugs me. "I predicted this." "I'm always right." "We are way ahead of everyone else." etc. Sometimes they do that to waste time and sometimes to act like children - it's hard to tell.

As for where it should be re-posted, I'm not too sure. I did produce a video of me verifying the claim for myself. Perhaps he can cite that? I assume he found the book online for himself, so he can make a video of that. If he actually has the book himself, he could make a video of him pointing to the quote in the book, and cite that instead.

Hi, could you ask James to add a better citation for the quote, 'well, that's the problem, isn't it?'. He cites The Green Capitalists, which cites 'The Rockefellers, An American Dynasty', which is a hard book to find online for free, and I doubt people would be willing to pay, learn piracy, or make an archive.org account to view it (one needs an archive.org account in order to read the book).

Would you also mind asking him to provide a citation for the 1934 letter JDR3 supposedly sent?

The Koch brothers have stated in the past that the would like to see America turned into a county similar to Brazil, with fuvellas, and mass poverty. Essentially Darwin capitalism.

The US is too powerful to be destroyed militarily. But it is economically vulnerable, because the US has a war economy.

End the wars, and you'll destroy the US economy.

For those of you stuck on fact-checking the first quote of Why Big Oil Conquered the World ('Well, that's the problem, isn't it?'), I've got the proof here. I believe I establish the fact that 'The Rockefellers, An American Dynasty' does report exactly what 'The Green Capitalists' states is says (although a bit later on, on a page between 290-299 rather than 289), and that they were indeed given access to the Rockefeller Archives via a mainstream source, The New York Times (which is important, because conspiracy sites can make up whatever they want, whereas mainstream sources often accurately report on what people actually say, at least in my experience), and indeed told the truth.

Why am I uploading this? The book is hard to find online for free, and I am not too sure if people would be willing to pay to fact check one quote, or make an archive.org account to fact check one quote, or join thepiratebay. (I, myself, am not too happy with archive.org's privacy policy.)

Proof that 'The Green Capitalists' was correct about what 'The Rockefellers, An American Dynasty' said: https://files.catbox.moe/3cyukt.avi

Reasonable proof that the authors of 'The Rockefellers, An American Dynasty' actually had access to the Rockefeller Archives and reported factually: http://archive.is/PCmTg, https://www.nytimes.com/1976/04/05/archives/books-of-the-times-neither-saints-nor-demons.html.

I will take you up on your offer.

About that e-mail response, I actually did get one. Unfortunately, I was silly in the e-mail and failed to notice that my search actually did give the quote: 'Well, that's the problem, isn't it?' in the book (https://anonfile.com/BbP7gaw1n0/Rockefellers_An_American_Dynasty_Quote_Search_Result_PNG), which gave him a bad impression of me ('If you are unable to even research a simple quote like this, I do not hold high hopes for your ability to fact check claims in general.'). Oh well. He did not respond to the suggestion of my spaces.

A: This is a sub to post ALL of the Corbett Report's works, including articles, podcasts and so on, not just videos.

My offer: I'll repost anything anyone wants to The Corbett Report members forum.

I know how hard it can be to have no means to pay-to-play in online discussions, but that's another story, so in that spirit I actually have something to offer.

James Corbett gifted me a membership, without expiry it seems, because I wrote an encyclopedic article about him that was cited by Prop-Or-Not that was cited by The Washington Post as "Fake News", back in 2016 or 2017. (If you really want more details I can dig some up. I've stated this story elsewhere on SaidIt and beyond so much it's tiresome.)

The article: https://infogalactic.com/info/James_Corbett_(journalist)

Unfortunately my offers to animate with/for him were ignored. So now I'm doing my own truther things, here on SaidIt: /s/GlossedOver Content Overview.

I can't guarantee anything else. I don't know if he reads every single comment. Many of my comments go seemingly unnoticed. There are more members than ever and they're all bringing their A-game. I've tried countless times to get Corbett to check out SaidIt.net and interview the founder magnora7 for a nice interview.
I suggest it pretty much every time I'm compelled to use my privilege to comment there.

I'll try to mention this subsaidit everytime too. I don't expect a response. Since I spoke to Sam last his show has blown up, and he hasn't acknowledged that /s/TinFoilHat exists. So too, even my comments to Holly about her show /s/ZoonPolitikon go unnoticed. You won't likely get an email response either. C'est la vie.

Sadly I don't fully utilize that privilege. I find reading comments is usually tedious, even if they are full of information. Same goes for just watching videos. I have to be multitasking, so audio/video allows me to listen while doing other stuff. I feel like I can't even be a good Saidhead and read all the great stuff here. That's likely why I never became a Redditor.

Q: Will this be a Corbett Report sub, to post all TCR videos?

Or is there another criteria for posting in this sub?

I have posted a link to the Big Oil documentary, as I think it forms The Corbett Report's view of the world's most important problems and its fundamental view of the world.
