Breasts are pornographic - TAM

But I'll just segue into asking if you need a bakeware link. Aluminum is pretty toxic.

I just use aluminum foil in my cast iron pan for easy clean up.

I've only used a few of their skillets, but they're the best non-stick cookware I've ever used. Safe for oven too. Already had a couple skillets, but when I looked at an adamant anti-non-stick blog and the best she had against gotham steel (unlike all the other brands) was that they 'might be unsafe' if you overheat them, it was a 👍 moment. Be advised there's a 'pro' line and a regular line - 'pro' being much thicker with more solid handles. Not to shill, but these are pretty great.

Q: Is this product made of gold or other rare earth element?

Answer:There is a stamp "24 karat of pure gold" on the bottom of the pan.

Lol. Does look like a nice pan, even though it's stick. The bit about no rivets seems like hype, as I've never had a rivet issue. Also, give me glass lids everytime. I think the 'concept' of this is maybe more appealing than the real life product, although the design looks nice. And at least for me, being associated with Chicago in any way is a huge negative. "Cookware from murder town"

Sorry, I guess that's kind of a negative review. I wouldn't be completely opposed to stick pans for soups or liquids. Right now I can't justify replacing my old Circulon cookware, which has held up for a couple decades now.

I've really wanted a pan with no rivets. They're easier to clean and there's nothing to fail. My most commonly used pot's rivets are corroding, so they're probably not the same stainless steel as the rest of it.

I like that it was made in the US, give Chicagoans something to do besides crack and shooting each other.

It is expensive, but something like that should last multiple lifetimes. Of course, so does cast iron and it's super cheap.

You could try lubricating the rivets with a non-corrosive food-safe oil after cleaning it. I know you don't like them, but y'all are talking pans and I can't help myself.

I found this over at Ross for $25 a few years ago. It's withstood a hell of a lot of cooking, and my husband leaving it in the sink with other metal pans inside of it. I love this pan, and it's one of the only ones I refuse to subject to the harshness of the dishwasher (plus it's fuckhuge and won't fit without fucking up my dishwasher feng shui). Gives a great sear, and incredibly easy to clean up.

I know you don't like them,

Aluminium is just scary because of its potential link to alzheimer's. They're nice in how quick they heat up, mostly.

That's a good idea but I'd rather just replace it at this point. Also, I suspect the corrosion is being caused by two dissimilar metals together. It's a thing, but I don't understand it too much besides knowing it happens.

Have you had that rivet problem with other skillets or pans? Might just be that mfg or brand. I currently have 13 actual skillets (wtf face) and have never had a rivet issue on any cookware. Not even cleaning problems.

Oh wait, that cast iron skillet makes 14. Jeeze... The thing is, the highest heat I use on my induction stovetop is about 3-4/9. But roughly the same temps on the previous electric coil stove. I tried using the cast iron on the coil stove, but it takes forever to heat up, and seems terribly inefficient for occasionally cooking stuff on low temps. Also sticks. Now, of course, it would destroy my stovetop.

Note that around 5 or 6 of those skillets are the old style toxic non-stick I stopped using years ago, and just haven't thrown out yet. "What if I need to heat/cook some non-food stuff?"

I care less about a skillet lasting a lifetime than I do about the ease and efficiency of the cooking experience. (Those toxic non-sticks should be thrown out when they start showing signs of wear.) But I'm also pretty happy to get that without having to use the toxic coatings.

The problem is specifically with the smaller pot (4c maybe) but that's the one I use by far the most. I assume the corrosion will eventually happen to all the rest. I ended up with 2 sets of cuisinart cookware and it's almost back down to one set. For all the money those cost I could have gotten a couple of these indestructible things that'll outlive me. There's probably something like this but more cost effective I'm sure.

I have more cookware than I can use already though. Too many knives too. I do love my Mercer Renaissance, it's a $40 clone of the Wusthof Ikon Classic.

Like making candles, soap, or fire starter logs.

I can't remember if I mentioned it, but I keep a tfal non stick pan for eggs. It's important but I just expect to replace that every few years as necessary so, I wouldn't spend a lot on nonstick. Something like this would be the only reason to spend a lot.

I like Jason. Say what you want to about saidittors, but when there's just like a few dozen of us we aren't really writing to influence the masses ya know, and that puts your average person here a step up over mainstream sites infested with real shills and bots.
