I made this sub yesterday (29/06/20 - or 06/29/20 for American consoomers) as the backup for the now-banned /r/consumeproduct. While it wont truly replace the subreddit (and all its userbase), I believe this is the perfect place for the next community to grow, not to mention the saidit user base is going to grow much, much larger before this US election comes.

Anyhow, here are the few relevant things about this new sub:

How it's gonna be run

I wont be interfering in the moderation (except for maybe answering reports from time to time when I happen to be on), but I will, every once in a while, review the moderation logs to ensure no shill mods of any kind are trying to enforce an agenda in here. Hopefully, the current mods decide to be active and do this in parallel. Until this sub is flooded with unrelated spam (aka /r/worldpolitics), the community will be allowed to largely self-moderate, and removals should only be of posts that receive reports and are clearly off-topic.

Promoting the sub

If you can, feel free to promote this sub in any "refugee camps" where some of the folks from /r/consumeproduct have escaped to. This includes discord groups, ruqqus, and some subreddits (although reddit seems to shadowban direct saidit links). I wont have time to do this as much, so it's up to you, if you want to do this.

Finding new mods

Currently, there is no need for any more mods here - however, if the need does arise (when a certain threshold of activity is reached), I will gladly grow the mod team.
I am sure there will be no problem finding the right folks. After all, we have the best mods.
