Part of the reason why Libertarianism has been promoted is to fool people into thinking that they are separated from their environment and people and hold no responsibilities with them. There's a sacred line between good and evil that people can feel but can be convinced that it is not important or sacred and libertarianism can be a gate in which people can be pushed into nihilism.
No one is completely free from responsibilities with their own. Nowadays, people need guidance from responsible figures more than anything. But with the technocracy expanding its influence, just the level of discourse alone is lucky to barely even survive.
