Shiro (ghost in the shell creator) has been sitting in his chair with his head in his hands for months because of this shit. His creations soul has been sucked out and spat out into a toilet.

Up until now, ghost in the shell directors have understood the universe.

An entire major scene in the above can be done entirely with just the music.

When I listen to the music in the new video, I am reminded at the sad state of NPCs.

Ah, you are a purist I see and that is fine. Yes, that linked episode is good. It seems to be influenced by Matsumoto Leiji and Daft Punk's Interstella 5555, a movie-length feature without one word of dialogue. I guess you've seen that, a classic. Me, I just want escape and entertainment. The nude scenes of Motoko and Esaki in the new series, and the linked intro, get me all warm and fuzzy. There are so many versions out there now. I will watch the version you linked but it's all good. Again, I do understand your POV. Thanks.
