Just drop this simple bomb and the whole middle-east soon will be at peace.

The amount of money it would take for U.S. (and any allies) to reinforce the crater would start an economic depression, the likes of which would make the 1930's look like a joke. Other nations won't leave that patch of land empty.

Despite how you feel about the people living there it's still of immense strategic value. Abandoning it isn't an option in the current global climate.

I most surely would have a job. You need geodetics to direct artillery and correctly do your maps and you need geodetics to build anything.

So i'd really appreciate it. :)

And who gives a fuck about some country nobody in this region wanted in this first place? I always told the simple story that construction in fact always is an easy job.

And I've got a nice sized farm for myself. That doesn't stop a chunk of the global economy getting hit by a shock wave. Specifically the U.S. The amount of money and lives required to hold that location would be expensive. Instead of a tossing a few million to them, the occasional trainer to teach them stuff, and letting them deal with it themselves, America would have to reinforce the position mostly alone.

A lot of crazy people want that place. Doesn't make much sense to me either, but they do. Religion and money go hand in hand.
