This has been happening all over the developing world for a decade and no one cares. Those that plant GM crops kill all their neighbours crops with pesticides. People in the whole area are then left with no choice but to buy GM themselves. This is probably a bigger problem with GM than any fears over health issues.

If I were to spray poison into my neighbor's lawn and kill their cat, I should be liable for that, right? Even if I have some super cat that can't be poisoned and I'm just spraying everywhere.

The part that I can see that's wrong is the A) planning to cause damages and B) lying to people that there was no externalities.

The thing is you don't have to spray it into your neighbour's lawn, you spray in on your own property, carefully, and it still gets everywhere. I mean our water supply is full of the stuff.
