Thanks. Agreed. We need a system that allows for more than 2 real party options, and then we need voting registration to be automatic or extremely easy. And a voting holiday from work when it's time to vote. And enough voting machines that no one has to wait 2 hours in line. And there is a paper trail that can be re-counted if the votes are digitally manipulated.

If we had all that, we might have a chance at having a functional representative democracy. But it's not like the people who run our current legal system and election system are going to allow those changes... it would have to be done by state-based constitutional referendums pushed to the federal level, or by some other means.

Yep, this is how it will likely have to go. Let's start pushing our states to enact ranked choice like yesterday.
