How's that equality taste?

I'm reading that as sarcasm, because we all know by now (I hope) that in the SJW mind phrases like "Straight Pride" equate to "Anti Gay". So why do we have to have this argument? Because it's the most important thing in the world to them. And that's how we got to Clown World here. Praise Trump and pass the AR-15s!

I feel it's more effective to ignore those you wish to disempower, rather than attacking them

Mahatma Gandhi is reputed to have said: First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.

As a corrollary, if you can keep ignoring those you wish to disempower, you probably are going to be more successful, since you remain further from their victory.

Did they ask you? If they'd asked me, I'd have said "don't be a bunch of clowns".

You can try and control everyone, or you can ignore that which deserves to be ignored

Who's in control though?

[–]magnora7 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

It's a group effort, we're all in control. But that's aside from the point

[–]sawboss[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

You don't get to control me fucker.

[–]magnora7 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

...that's what I'm saying. We're all in control of our own lives. Also, watch the pyramid of debate there sawboss, no need to call me names.

Are you homosexual?

[–]sawboss[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

No, and I don't want to know about your fantasies.

Watch some classy characters show up in flamboyant costumes, and Borat bikinis.

Seems like they're butt hurt that it's not just all about them.

Jeez, this stuff is pathetic.

isnt that what ALL pride parades are about

Good point. I guess it's about "look at me, I'm special because of this one characteristic."

[–]magnora7 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

Also the feeling of "I can put this characteristic on display without being murdered finally" which is a self-acceptance and conquering fear thing

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Also the feeling of "I can put this characteristic on display without being murdered finally"

If that were the case they wouldn't put it on display because of the lingering fear of getting murdered.

People who at some point actually expected to be murdered or suffer physical harm would remember it and wouldn't expect the people who would have threatened them to magically change.

Nah it's like in The Wizard of Oz, "Ding dong the witch is dead" and everyone is dancing in celebration that they're finally free

Are u telling me that pride parades is something people have to celebrate having killed someone?

[–]magnora7 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

No I'm telling you it's something people do because the danger has been removed.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

No I'm telling you it's something people do because the danger has been removed.

That's what happens in the movie, Dorothy kills the witch. There has been a long long time since it was illegal to be gay, and the people that actually had to deal with that law are generally not the ones on the parade. So they certainly not celebrating the danger is gone for the majority of people who do parades didn't have that danger upon them.

I think this explains it:

Think about it how long this has been out.

Hey, what's stupider than a "Straight Pride Parade"? A bunch of "journalists" who promote it!

Is it homophobic to suggest gays get "butt hurt"? I dunno.

I'm scared of gays. After all, they're so powerful and intolerant.
