The Philadelphia Inquirer ran an opinion piece on page 12 condemning arson. The opinion starts by pandering to the extreme far-left and stating "black Americans are being brazenly murdered in cold blood by police and vigilantes." However, it mildly suggests that arson is wrong thing to do.
Forty-four self-described "journalists of color" staged a walk-out to protest. They signed a letter saying the opinion piece was not only offensive but "puts our lives at risk."
The management of the Philadelphia Inquirer issued a public apology saying it was "deeply offensive" for them to have allowed the newspaper to condemn arson.
