Seems like there is no reason for any climate scare.

Seems like there is no reason for any climate scare.

That seems to be a bit of a logical leap.

You're saying that because Greenland supported more life when it was warmer, the rest of the world would too?

Does the 2 kilometre thick ice sheet on Greenland now not suggest to you that it is colder there than a lot of the places were people are dying due to the anthropogenic part of climate change?

The current climate is not warmer by any standard. Even the propaganda thinks that it is about 0.1 degrees warmer.

The scare is that there is a temperature at which the warming will go on.
This is the famous "hockestick" graph that is shown in most of the future projections.
The climate disaster scare is about earth becoming too hot to live anywhere.
But we find that there is normal life even with high temperatures.

The fear for the rising water is also exaggerated, partially due to the mercator-projection maps that show Greenland and Antartica as huge.

The actual measurements show a lot more than that:

Looks like about 1.3°C since the early 1900s. Americans would call that about 2.3°F.

Where's this "propaganda" showing less that 1/10th of that?

The scare is that there is a temperature at which the warming will go on.

The reality is that the greenhouse effect increases the energy imbalance at the top of the atmosphere. The warming that that causes takes a couple or few decades for most of it to manifest. All we've done is turn the oven on. We're still waiting for it to get up to temperature.

This is the famous "hockestick" graph that is shown in most of the future projections.

No, that was measurement of past temperatures. There are no future projections in MBH 1999. Here's the paper, if you haven't read it:Northern Hemisphere Temperatures During the Past Millennium' Inferences, Uncertainties, and Limitations It's quite accessible.

The climate disaster scare is about earth becoming too hot to live anywhere.

Well it's obviously not going to become too hot for a kangaroo rat in Antarctica. The likely sea level rise, ecosystems collapse and reduction in agricultural productivity are perfectly scary enough.

The fear for the rising water is also exaggerated, partially due to the mercator-projection maps that show Greenland and Antartica as huge.

How much is it exaggerated?
