The sects are the religions i.e. protestant catholic orthodox etc but not Christianity itself.

What's the distinction that makes Christianity not a religion?

Can you be Christian but not religious?

Is Islam a religion? Or only the sects i.e. Sunni, Shia, Sufism etc, not Islam itself?

Christianity is a relationship, protestant catholic and orthodox etc are religions. Islam is a atate of being not a religion, sunni amd shia are religions.

Christian atheism is a growing movement.

20 years ago, 4% of American Protestants believed there is no God.

It's possible he's being inclusive.

Yes you can be a Christian and be spiritual instead of religious. An atheist can identify how he wants. Christianity is based on a relationship with Christ. Islam is a state of submission to God.

There is no God apart from Christ. Submission can only be relational of it is reciprocal.

1) But is there Christ without God?

2) Doesn't Judaism refute that? They had that God first. And they don't accept that Christ is God. Or even the Messiah. And Islam accepts that Christ is the Messiah, but not that he's God.

Submission can only be relational of it is reciprocal.

1) No. Jesus and Allah are one. 2) they didn't have God first they worshipped a tribal god named Jehovah not the Universal God of Abraham. The old testament is highly innaccurate just look at how different the dead aea scrolls are. Your "relationship is not reciprocal. You submit to Allah He isn't submitting to you. Its a one way street. Whereas I love Christ and He loves me back. That's reciprocity thats true relation.
