Yes. This is more of a /s/PhoenixForum idea for the future.

I've considered how nice it would be that every Original Poster would be the Moderator of their Original Posts - AND - that they would get notified for every single comment in discussions made under them, not just the responses directly to their post or comments. A lot gets missed in a thread if you only check your inbox and manually checking long discussions manually is tedious. Another option would be to have an indicator "new since you were here last".

I seem to remember somebody( i wont mention any names) came up with the idea to allow the OP to block users from his thread.. but nobody seemed to like it when he presented this idea, but now some alcohol inspired idea is passed off as original and is eagerly accepted.
