u/Jasoncarswell This is really exciting imo, I love lumens. There's sdk's in a ton of languages looks like we could just plug this in.

This does sound neat. Most of it is Greek to me. Crypto on a forum scares me. Steemit sucked primarily for that reason. There were a few other minor reasons too, but nothing so obvious or major. Besides not being a linux, forum, or crypto admin guy, I would also hate to have some kind of scam happen on my gear, accidentally or not. Yet, crypto seems among the only ways forward. Were I/we to adopt some crypto thing I would want to decentralize it somehow. For example, have enough on the forum to manage in day to day or week to week affairs, and keep the rest in several different external places (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.), perhaps entrusted under different people too. A nice problem to have.

We wouldn't have to have anything to do with holding the money, just facilitate transfers using the sdk, allowing users to tip each other. I'd love to be able to buy someone a beer for a good comment.

Although we might want to think about taking a rake to pay for expenses, like hookers, vodka, cocaine and server costs.
