I appreciate the credit but my "inspirational" My Apology To SaidIt (And An Idea) need not be so front and center on the sub description and sidebar. It's linked here for anyone who cares.
Rather than a wiki page, I recon having a dedicated subsaidit is more inline with our common prevailing Reddit-like culture. It also allows for discussion under a text post that the OP can edit and refine with feedback, yet retain OP control, whereas the wiki would be open season. Without more advanced tools or OCD checking the wiki here is a weaker faith based system.
I have to also apologize to the 43 comments in my messages I haven't checked or responded to yet. I do intend to get to them all. Also, I only discovered a preferences setting a couple months ago that lets me mark them read/unread - all stuff before that is lost in time, like comments in the infinite archive. They do tend to pile up when you're not looking. I mention this because one in particular is very relevant that I have yet to follow up on.
The following is copypasta from this helpful comment by /u/send_nasty_stuff:
" For the most part well modded and active subs already do this canned response thing. Veterans in quality subs are johnny on the spot with filling new people in. I think the name you're looking for is s/copypasta. There's a user named r/marquisdepaid on reddit that might be able to help you with the idea you are putting together. Tell him I sent you if he asks questions. "
