The people in The United States factually work much more than what they used to and yet they get paid less. When it comes to the media, there is always a push that people are constantly in danger and that they need to stay alert the whole time. Many TV shows glorify a hedonist lifestyle and tell us that celebrities are the ideal human beings. They tell us to only look out for ourselves and that we are in a constant competition.
Like Nietzsche said, creating new values requires time for reflection, but the little free time people have and the fear of not following the herd make that very difficult. I'm sure Nietzsche thought that in a healthy society, philosophers should have the highest authority but that can get quite difficult with all the effort to make people distracted. Even children aren't safe from it since access to the internet has reduced their attention span.
I tell you guys, don't let them win. Make sure to take your time to think of solutions to everyday problems. We may be somewhat isolated from others, but we have also managed to push them back to some extend. A lot of people don't trust the MSM like they used to and alternative media sites are becoming more popular. Sure, people may not start seeing us in a better way any time soon but what TPTB fear, a unified middle-low class working together in order to take them down is slowly becoming a reality.
If we continue the fight we can make it happen sooner. So if you are not feeling confident, remember you can rely on me too.
