Brave. Get paid to see ads.

How does Brave compare to Chrome in function? (aside from the data harvesting)

It's a better version of Chrome honestly, but you can earn small amount s of crypto for ads.

Watching ads doesn't sound very appealing. I block all page elements on Chrome by default with uMatrix, then unblock stuff until the site works 'well enough', or I refuse to unblock more and leave.

It doesn't sound appealing but some are actually cool ads. I've actually ended up using one of the services advertised, BlockFi that pays interest on crypto and many others I bookmarked in case I was interested later. They pop up, max 5 an hour (you can set how many you want or turn it off). Little black popup boxes and if you click on them, you go to a webpage for the product or service.

I'm on an android phone for all of my browsing. I was using Blockada in pair with Brave since my ad blocking options are limited but Blockada has been slow af lately for some reason so I ditched it.

Firefox/Mozilla is getting political and wants to block certain sites.
So I am moving to Brave for now.
