I sold my place in Kona in 2007 before most people saw what was coming and haven't been back since. Here are a few things I've imagined have been happening so please tell me if I'm right or wrong:

Unemployment has soared.

Tourism is way down, especially since Covid is killing off all the 90+ US citizens. Drug use, especially meth, is soaring and the crime rate too. Pakalolo is not a drug imo.

How are beachfront rentals in Kona doing?

Anything else I should know? I hope no one gets me wrong—Kona is probably the best place I've ever lived although I only spent four months a year there.

If you don't know much about Hawaii you should know that each island and even part of each island has a different economy.

Mahalo

The levels of cognitive dissonance people will go to make weed acceptable is awesome.

Don't get me wrong, I give two schmitt's if you or anyone else want to do Mary Jane. But let's not sniff turds and think it smells good. In fact, like a democrat Covid vaxxes their kids, I'm totally ok with uncle Sam forcing xanax or Mary Jane on people to ensure compliance. But let's not be silly, they're all drugs.

No worries since I don't expect everyone to agree with me. I'll leave it at this: back long before xanax and meth, doctors used to prescribe weed as a sedative. Your username reminds me of James K Polk who is claimed by both NC and TN.
