What's wrong with reddit?

They must be having some database error. Sucks for them I guess. I bet the site will go down for maintenance soon. Someone's Friday night is about to get cut short

Interesting, I didn't know that page existed, thanks. So they've been aware of it for about half an hour, must not be a super easy fix.

I wouldn't be surprised if a clock somewhere has rolled over, and a cached page is being treated as authoritative.

Reddit is a young, dot com startup, just going through some growing pains. They haven't even got their ethical measures sorted out, much less their infrastructure.

Upvotes are not working, rising page is dead. Still not resolved, it looks like

  • Censorship
  • Excessive regulations
  • Subs & users banned left and right for no reason
  • Decline of new & original/quality content

It's just not as wild & rich as it once was, it's tightly controlled, and so nothing is interesting anymore, and good users are leaving.
