Mastodon?

https://mastodon.social/

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mastodon_(software)

Mastodon is an online, self-hosted social media, and [DECENTRALIZED/uncensorable] social networking service. It allows anyone to host their own server node in the network, and its various separately operated user bases are federated across many different sites (called "instances"). These instances are connected as a federated social network, allowing users from different instances to interact with each other seamlessly. Mastodon is a part of the wider Fediverse, allowing its users to also interact with users on different open platforms that support the same protocol, such as PeerTube and Friendica.

Yes, that's the one. Thank you.

I spent some time on it but the content did not interest me as it was mostly people posting random things like people do on Facebook and I do not want to go through all that for very little content which is actually useful. Also, there seems to be some things happening like users being assigned invisible points to determine who is most influential. The users on there do not seem comfortable with it.

edit: Voat also seems to be having some conflict of user interest. So, here I am on Saidit.

I signed up for Mastodon. I even want to host one only because it's decentralized.

But I found it after I found SaidIt. I have yet to actually spend any time there and learn how it works, its culture, and which are the better ones to follow. Like I need another distraction.

In other news I learned about some Reddit-like things being decentralized.
