That's a good point.

Is there a line of sight requirement for this? Or are video and photographs sufficient?

My assumption was a timed and self induced imprisonment strategy.
This is quite open ended.

I'd say if you really wanted to be an evil fuck you'd drain their bank account ASAP as well as take all valuables and hide them in a secret location. After you've taken everything of value and secured it, you're now primed to switch back.

Their first instinct will be to return to their comfort zone. Most likely they'll return to their home (the home you presumably woke up in). If they have a husband or wife you'd want to stick by them immediately after the looting/hiding. Basically, make sure you're by the thing that they are most likely to return to. You could even try to contact them (who else would know the best way to contact you besides you) and meet up. They can't give you anything more as they're now you and you've already taken all their valuables, so it will be as easy as you explaining the situation and how to switch back, yet leaving out the whole stealing part.

Meet up and switch back, profit off of the perfect crime. Nobody will believe you stole anything from them as they technically withdrew everything and lost it. They can try to blame you, but the only thing you did was meet up with them.

I was thinking of a more strategic blackmail angle.

Switch bodies.

Grab their cell phone. Grab something else.

Head to the bathroom for a couple of minutes of compromising photos.

Use their facial unlock feature to email the photos to a secure account.

Money/valuables is great, but your can get caught with it.

The photos are useful for many applications. They could even be sold.

I'm not sure how you'd get in legal trouble if someone emailed photos of themselves to you.
