My ice cold take is that being a slave would kinda fucking suck so I'm generally glad it's not legal to enslave me.

The US formally enshrined slavery in its constitution with the 13th amendment. They just changed it from being based on race to being a convicted criminal. They then choose which criminals to prosecute and how much to punish them based on factors that are completely unrelated to race I'm sure.

Slavery was never based on race. It was completely based on economic forces. Niggers from apefreaka sold other niggers for less than White slaves. The first colonist owned slaves in North American colonies were 16 White children.

Well you're attempting to legitimize bigotry, and that's a form of self-imposed slavery and self-hatred. So in a sense, you've made yourself a legal slave by your own willingness to subjugate your humanity and any sense of morality.
