Social Media. We can still have news, media sites like youtube, twitch, still get independent reporting and shows... but the arena of anonymous people congregating en mass is nothing but polarizing the populace, radicalizing them, creating echo chambers, and just further eroding common decency and humanity. Sure it is fun to "pwn a noob on a thread" but when people no longer can debate, talk about issues, hell even report news without it being blown to bullshit level of extreme and resulting in people's lives being ruined....well it's gone too far and time to act.

Agree - social media - the effect on kids has been devastating leading to feelings of inadequacy, suicide, polarization, hookup culture and the total erosion of marriage and the loss of many of our women to OF.

Not just kids, look at boomers. Facebook has caused them to go qanon, misinformation is spread like herpes, dangerous trends have killed tons of people, people have stopped thinking and just parrot the shit they read, incel and femcels have exploded, and really just the downfall of moral and treating people like people first, then whatever after.

    I just do not think it is possible to put that cat back in the bag. Social media has been poisoned so badly that it is a RARITY to see people talk or debate, much like we are right here, and instead the de facto behavior is attack, ad hominen, and fallacies.

    I 100% agree with all your points, and I would love to see it happen, would love to think people still have the ability to control themselves, to show others respect until they prove they should get none, and to be more mature than a 12 yr old edgy kid.... I just do not think that is possible nor would any rules fix it.

    I would like to think a lot of this spawn from how childhood is being spent, online with the same arguments as adults used to have, we used to shield them from this until they could make up their own minds about things, now they are jam fisted into sides. What is your thoughts on that?

    Social media. I like videos about hobbies, demonstrations, tutorials, podcasts, music. But some things are there posts of people screaming instead of communicating, teaching people the wrong things, stupid congratulating stupid, ...
