Why are teachers so respected?

They aren't, we just pretend to respect them so they will keep working for next to nothing

Because when you are a little kid they seem to be intelligent, and you are indoctrinated to believe that what you learn in school is all true. So by transitive property everything the teacher says is true.

This works on 80-90% of people. The other 10-20% become right wing, or "edgy" teenagers.

Teachers back in my day actually tried to do good. They simply were not smart enough to understand. That the powers that be used them to turn kids into good little slaves. These days teachers fk over kids so bad they want to cut of their dicks and become Mengele chicks.
