These people are bitter at the world, which they perceive as having treated them unfairly. Imagine believing you are "born in the wrong body". In healthy times, people like this were told, "Yep. Life is hard. Figure out a way to make it work. There's no choice." Now, they are told, "Yeah! Deny reality itself! That's where happiness lies!" So they do... and... surprise, surprise, they're even more unhappy than they were before.

It's a fundamentally nihilistic and suicidal ideology, having only secondarily to do with either men or women. These people are miserable, and we all know misery loves company. They have the power they have only because this nihilistic philosophy has become dominant among the government and propaganda classes, and they are damned well going to enforce it on those in society still trying to produce anything. They're basically saying, "If we're going down, we take you with us!"
