I will start off with a classic that is not only one of the most underrated games, but also one of my favorite games of all time. Okami for the PlayStation 2. It was essentially Legend of Zelda but with Japanese mythology, and you play as Amaterasu, a wolf that is known as the Sun Godess. You also have a magical paintbrush that can do things like attack enemies, destroy obstacles like rocks, create cherry bombs, instantly change night into day, and a lot of other special abilities. You get these various abilities the further you progress through in the game. In the game, there are these constellations in the sky that once completed, turn into gods and goddesses, and award you with a new paintbrush ability. Let's not forget about the amazing soundtrack. It literally screams Japanese mythology. If you want to experience this amazing hidden gem you can pick up Okami HD on PS4, Switch, and Xbox One & Series X/S. It's definitely a criminally underrated gem that deserves more attention.
