There's no federal law for masks. Period.

The CDC created internal policy that applies to their employees, only.

If this policy was to impact the public, then they are obligated by law to put the proposed policy to the public for notice and comment. This is absolutely necessary.

This is the reason that a federal judge struck down the mask mandate.

No notice and comment = No Law.

I hope you are right about there being no federal law for masks. It is strange that Amtrak would state something that is false on their kiosks.

Do you see a future where no one drives a car any more, but instad all vehicles are driven by AI, as in the Tesla Company variety? If that happens, it will be harder for people to break the speed limits. And they will enjoy less freedom.

Federal law actually required a list of recommended mandates be generated. Which included masks, as a recommendation. If such a law actually existed, it's title and code would be displayed on that screen. As you can see, no such thing is being shown. In fact, it is not even a proper sentence, and is instead title capped for some reason.
