I think because the owner is content with the way things are.

That still follows my belief that M7 likes this place as somewhere for people to "find", even if by word-of-mouth, without getting flooded by the masses who would probably crash the culture, and along with it the safety to speak your mind.

Maybe go outside and meet some real people?

Ignore my last comment, just tried it, would not recommend.

It's like Jurassic Park out here!

    More like Outbreak.

Reddit alts used to congregate in large masses in the early 2010s but Ruqqus & Voat dying back to back really disillusioned people.

Its not that Reddit alts are unpopular, its just that people don't want to get invested in a site that will be gone in a matter of months.

    What about wolfballs.com

Why the fuck do you want mindless losers to come here?

I'll take the 200 Saidit users and all those awful other fucks can stay on their platforms.

      I agree

I'd like all the reddit faggots to come here and get comfy. Then, when they are addicted, start banning their subs and powerusers.

I think most people left on reddit now don't have the tolerance to stay on any platform where their bullshit is called out anyway.

The trick is to wait for everyone to get fed up with reddit. Those who are fed up with it will eventually discover saidit.

      And then they'll ruin it.

I hope I'm not doing that. I got banned from reddit 5 times.

I hope I'm not doing that.

You definitely aren't. Even if you were, you have to keep being your true self no matter what. Different opinions matter after all.

I got banned from reddit 5 times.

That just makes me respect you more.

      Perhaps.

But it'll certainly introduce new characters into this crazy and funny sitcom known as saidit.net. So many interesting characters to explore and learn about! Humans are like ice cream, there are so many different flavours. This means there are about 7 billion different flavours to explore. If we don't count NPCs, I would guess there are at least 100 million different flavours that have yet to be explored. It's like discovering new planets.

Floors. The trick is to create sub for videos of floors. And teeth. Another sub for teeth.

Most genius comment ever written on saidit.net

That's not much of a game plan. People are generally lazy and not inquisitive. And unless they hear the names on corporate media (ie. Wikipedia, Google, Reddit, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Pintrest, and a handful more), they're simply not very interested.

SaidIt is full of refugees. Alt-Right, Anti-Trans, InCels, asstrolls, free-thinkers, and truth-seekers. Some are okay and some are not.

and none of them seem too active

They are all very active. It just seems that way to you because you're used to astroturfed platforms. This is what an organically grown internet is supposed to look like.

      [–]JasonCarswell 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

      1) M7 is a shitty social media owner and micro-dictator, period. But obviously he could be worse. He's a good truth seeker. If he doesn't think of it, he's not interested in collaborative management - thus there's no "community" to speak of, much less organizing a public relations team and strategy. That's ALL on him. Many of us have tried to engage him. To be fair, we could do it ourselves, without his permission - but why support a shitty owner when we could actually build decentralized alternatives and promote them ourselves? That has also been tried (/s/Cassy) but also SaidIt users suck terribly on this front.

      2) SaidIt is not much of a Twitter alternative. Consider the many Mastodon instances, Gab, etc.

      3) There are MANY Reddit-like alternatives out there. /s/SaiditAlternatives
