Yes, we are. The 'block user' button has been especially useful lately.

I agree on this. I generally try not to use the block button as it goes against my free speech stance. However, I've modified that lately to allow for blocking people whom I find particularly abusive or annoying. Getting rid of them increases my enjoyment of the rest of the site, and it's better from a free speech standpoint than trying to get them banned.
