Why are people talking about anti-depressants instead of depressants ?

Because the quacks tell everyone anti-depressants are magic, and totally non-addictive, unlike those evil depressant drugs. Just look at the loaded names for these things, any idiot knows obviously 'depressant = bad' and 'anti-depressant' must be something good

Most antidepressants have the known side effect of causing suicides.
They can lift your mood, and they can also push you off a cliff
Speaking of which, I really like the idea of suiciding by jumping or "accidentally" falling into the grand canyon, after setting myself on fire with gasoline.
