Most likely. I'd expect more people seeing through this. Their comments aren't direct replies to the conversation at hand, that's how you can spot them. (There's some cleverness in their posts, but that doesn't demonstrate intelligence by itself.)

They're trolls, they try to start those discussions anywhere they can. But their engagement is way above what AI can do.
