TL;DR: Did Sarkeesian had the power and authority to change gaming to warrant such opposition?
Good day. I hope this post finds you in a good mood. As you can see in my title, I have asked something quite controversial. I am fully aware of it and I pray no flame war shall occur in the comments.
I ask this question because of my two observations. Number one, Sarkeesian has made criticism of movies and tv shows through a third wave feminist lens, and number two, the moment she proceeds to do the same with video games, it became controversial.
I must be clear, I do not ask for the reasons as to why many are opposed to her. I can see that for myself.
What I want to know is what made her critics think that she may have any influence and/or power to change gaming and the gaming world at large?
And that is the meat of my question and post. I hope you all would take my post in good faith for I have made this post with good faith as well. I have stated on my post over at s/introductions that I may be posting some things that would raise some eyebrows but I do not intend to start anything with my posts. I am retarded, I am very slow on the uptake in a myriad of topics, including this one.
I wish you all a good day, thank you for reading and I will see you all in the comments.
