Just thinking out loud here....

Lets say this correct, that 10% of these people are not fetishists, we would then expect the number of FTM to be roughly 1/10 rather than 1/3 the MTF...

UNLESS...some of these FTM are also fetishists, albeit in smaller numbers than the men. While I have obviously heard of autogynephiles, I have never heard of 'autophallophile' being a thing, do you think this is a phenomenon that exists in the FTMs as well, but is more rare, or is this not a thing at all?

Believe me most FTM are indeed fetishists. Their fetish is trying to fuck gay men. The younger ones who make up so much of the online FTM crowd are KPop fans whose only hope of getting with their crushes is to become gay men. Luckily most of them will grow out of it before they can fund getting their boobies lopped off.

Or they go after gay men because there's no danger of them reciprocating.

Lots of teen girls are terrified of sex and men.

Being trans is a way of making themselves less of a target for attraction.

As a trans woman once said to me, men feel under-sexualised and women feel over-sexualised. Male troons often think transing will get them more objectified and female less.

Funny, if tragic, how the darker side-effects of the sexual revolution starting in the 1960s resulted in greater sexual repression for the average heterosexual young man.
