The internet is definitely a huge part of the issue when it comes to prevalence, but trans people existed before the internet.

Before transgenderism was socially acceptable, it was considered a genuine affliction. Body dysphoria is a legitimate medical/psychological issue.

I want to know where that comes from. How common was gender dysphoria in American males before we started cutting up their penises when they were babies?

I may be wrong, but it seems like sexual mutilation in infancy would be an obvious factor in all sorts of maladaptive behaviours. Most people don't want to have that conversation, though.

And thanks to the social fad, it is no longer considered such. All Democrats ever do is co-opt people for their agenda.

I'm not a fan of either side. Two wings of the same shitbird.

At least the Republicans and conservatives don't actively want to persecute you for saying the "wrong" thing.
