While I think your theory is right, women do not have life on easy mode.
It's more about that perception that they do. That probably is a part of it, regardless of whether it's accurate.
There also has to be a certain lack of self-awareness, as the percentage of men that will ever pass is laughably low, so the reality is they will never actually be seen by anyone as women.
I'm observing that lack of self-awareness. Someone said she passes for female most of the time, but when I later got to see a picture, it was so obvious that that can't be the case. I'm not sure if that's the norm, though. A lot of them fear getting ghosted after the other person sees their picture, so there's got to be some kind of awareness there.
